Apple’s iOS 17 No Longer Compatible with iPhone 8 and X Models

As per usual, Apple is set to launch its newest operating systems for its range of products in the upcoming autumn season. However, the company will continue its trend of abandoning certain older models of its devices.

If you’re still holding on to your iPhone 8 (it was awesome, so I don’t blame you), iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X, you can’t upgrade to iOS 17. In other words, the iPhone needs an A12 Bionic chip or later to install iOS. a new replay. If you have an iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, or iPhone SE (2nd generation) or later, you’ll get access to features like real-time voicemail, StandBy View mode, and better auto-repair when you finally cancel.

Apple is adding customizable lock screens, a Health app, interactive widgets, and more to the iPad. Unfortunately, people using a fifth-generation iPad or a first-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro will not be able to install iPadOS 17. The following tablets are supported:

  • iPad (6th generation and later)
  • iPad mini (5th generation and later)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation and later)
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and later)

There is good news for Apple Watch users. Apple continues to support all devices running watchOS 9. If you have an Apple Watch Series 4 or later, you can use watchOS 10, which is more widget-focused. Numerous other updates have been made to the cycling and compass apps.

Gadgets will also come to Mac with macOS Sonoma. Among other features, the desktop and laptop OS has a new game mode that prioritizes CPU and GPU performance for higher frame rates in every game. The following Macs support macOS Sonoma:
